A busy Christmas period!

As a full band we were delighted to once again join forces with the Tongwynlais Music Academy in their annual Christmas showcase concert, which took place in the resplendent St German’s Church, Adamsdown on 29th November 2024. The concert featured solo and ensemble performances from youth members of the academy, festive items from the band, and culminated in a massed band performance of the Mariah Carey classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You”.
We also thoroughly enjoyed a guest appearance with Newport Philharmonic Choir at their annual Christmas concert at St John’s Church, Newport on 14th December 2024, which saw over £1,300 raised for Kidney Research UK.
Intermingled with our full band engagements and rehearsals, smaller ensembles from the band this year undertook Christmas carolling engagements at The St Fagans National Museum of History, The Mall Cribbs Causeway, Ty Coch Nursing Home and Asda Coryton.
The band is now enjoying some well-earned rest before rehearsals resume on Monday 6th January 2025.
